Welcome to Misfits to Marvels Dog Training LLC, where we specialize in personalized dog training. Our goal is to empower both dogs and owners through compassionate training methods and effective knowledge transfer.

We use positive reinforcement training methods based on principles of learning theory and behavioral science to teach dogs using treats, praise and play. We want the dog to form strong bonds with their owners. Dogs can be very obedient and enjoy making good choices without fear or stress for the owners. We will use management techniques to keep the dogs from practicing bad behavior and setting them up for success while training is ongoing.

Services

We offer private lessons in your home or at a park - wherever it makes the most sense.

The fee for a private lesson is $85. We offer a 20% discount if you recently adopted a rescue dog (within the last 3 months) .

Just let us know what you need help with, and we can setup a quick call to discuss.

We can help with obedience, adoption transition, puppies, behavior modification and management or teaching your dogs some cool tricks.

About Us

I am Angela Hubner, the owner of Misfits to Marvels Dog Training, LLC. I grew up in Germany where dog ownership and training is taken seriously. Many dogs are used to going to Cafes with their owners and long walks are the norm.

I retired from a career as engineer and consultant and I am now a certified Catch Dog Trainer and a member of the Association for Professional Dog Training (APDT).

My journey with dogs started many years ago and I had the privilege of working with dogs of many different breeds, ages and temperaments. I currently share my life with an American Bulldog, whose strength and personality have taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and understanding.

My dog, Bandit, went from a starving stray who did not know any commands to Level 3 Treibball certification and occasionally helps me out as my demo dog.

My training philosophy:

I believe that dogs thrive when they feel safe, understood, and motivated. My goal is to create a positive learning environment where dogs are excited to engage and succeed. Through clear communication, consistency, and plenty of rewards, I help both dogs and owners achieve long-lasting results.
